There certainly is a government coup; it has been going on for decades, only it is being conducted by the high-level government employees and agency heads who have taken away the authority of running the U.S. government from our elected officials, by bypassing laws and ruling by agency regulations.
The democracy politicians claim to want to protect has turned into rule by bureaucracy. The lower-level employees seem to be loyal to their agency heads and unions, and not their elected representatives. Enough whistleblowers have told us enough of what is going on to warrant finding out and cleaning house. Everyone should be appalled at the fraud and waste that has been uncovered recently. From listening to all the complaining, it seems like getting a piece of the pie is more important than the risk of bankrupting the country!
