The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that after a short summer hiatus Kent County Open for Business (KOB) returns next Thursday, Aug. 7. This monthly educational session is held at Kent County Levy Court, room 220, from 8:30–10 a.m. The Kent County Levy Court building is located at 555 Bay Road in Dover. This event is held on the first Thursday of every month for all attendees to receive a free business development session and important advice from various professional agencies within the county.

If you haven’t heard the wonderful success stories from CDCC members and other local business professionals who have received a significant boost to their professional goals from this event, then you should sign up to attend this free business development session to see for yourself. KOB is an expo-style event, with numerous agencies represented around the room, ready to answer questions, share crucial information, and be a friendly face for those in any stage of their business venture. The CDCC and its partners are ready and willing to help.

Agencies that protect and advocate for the success of small businesses here in Kent County will be present. Attendees can expect to see representatives from the Delaware Center for Enterprise Development, Delaware Department of Natural Resources & Environmental Control, SCORE Delaware, Downtown Development District Grant Program, Downtown Dover Partnership, Kent Economic Partnership, and more. A representative from the CDCC will be available in addition to their credible partners.

KOB is the perfect one-stop shop for all current and potential residents and business professionals. The CDCC understands the challenges small business owners are facing in today’s business environment, and they hope that this consistent and free event will be an educational solace and guidance to those who are working hard to thrive and make a positive impact in central Delaware. The chamber fully believes that education is power and wants to equip the business professional community with as many tools as possible to succeed and grow.

The CDCC invites you and anyone you may know who has a small business or wants to someday open one to KOB on Aug. 7 so you can make valuable connections and gain business knowledge you didn’t even know you needed. Your attendance at KOB will be the spark for your next steps in your business venture. The CDCC and their partners in attendance want to be a part of your business journey here in central Delaware by offering the information you need to achieve your personal and professional enterprise goals.
