FREDERICA - Kenneth Earl Alston went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 17, 2021 in Bayhealth/Kent General Hospital.
Kenneth was born November 5, 1934 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late, Wilbur Russell & Lillian Boyd (Carter) Alston. He served proudly in the United States Air Force for over 31 years before retiring with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with family.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Anita Mary (Marshall) Alston, who passed in 2019; and his siblings, Clinton B. Alston, Wilbur R. Alston, Jr. and Melva L. Posey.
Kenneth is survived by his two sons, Kenneth Earl Alston, Jr. & wife, Izabela, of Tokyo, Japan and Karl Anthony Alston & wife Vickie, of East Granby, Connecticut; a daughter, Valerie Anita Cherry & husband, Wayde, of Camden; four grandchildren, Joyale Richardson & husband, Darren, Kenneth E. Alston, III & wife, Peaches, Lisa Alston & Jerrard Alston; and four great-grandchildren, Cencere Richardson, Legacy Richardson, King Richardson & Genysis Anita Alston.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 29, 2021, in the Dover Christian Church, 1738 Forrest Ave., Dover; where family and friends may view one hour before, adhering to the current Covid-19 restrictions of mask wearing, social distancing, and 45 people maximum at a time. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow at 2 p.m., in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, Del.
