Kenneth Andrew ( Andy) Bethard, 59 Y/O passed away peacefully at his home in
Honolulu Hawaii on 11/8/2024. He was born on 3/28/1965 in Wilmington Delaware to Ken and
Martha Jane Bethard. He grew up in Camden Delaware and graduated from Caesar Rodney High School in 1983.
He attended Tennessee Temple University and Eastern Kentucky University and graduated with a
degree in criminal justice in 1988. After graduation, he served proudly in the Marine Corps before
entering service with the Delaware State Police. He felt compelled to return to military service and
enlisted In the Army where he served until his retirement from active service. He continued with
service to his country serving the Army as a civilian employee.
He married his loving wife Jingman ( Jin) in a beach side ceremony in 2016. He
continued to live in Hawaii where he enjoyed the warm climate as well as his hobbies of swimming,
hiking and taking care of his topical gardens. Andy and Jin also enjoyed traveling to various countries
and locations and experiencing different cultures.
He is survived by his wife Jin, parents Ken and Martha Jane Bethard, brothers Jamie ( Susan)
Chris ( Suzanne), children Melissa ( Mark) , Elijah and Hannah, and grandchildren Madelyn and
Nolan. Interment was In Hawaii at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
