GEORGETOWN - Judith S. Hall, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2009, at Beebe Hospital. She was 57. Mrs. Hall was born in Rehoboth Beach, DE, the daughter of the late William and Marie (Handy) Mitchell. She was a clerk at the Sussex County Assessment office for the past seven years. Mrs. Hall enjoyed watching her grandchildren play ball and race go-carts, was an avid reader and also enjoyed camping. Mrs. Hall is survived by her husband of 40 years, Garney J. Hall, two children, Marty Metz and her husband Mike of Georgetown, and Jamie Hall and his fiancé' Renee of Georgetown; two brothers, Robert Mitchell and his wife Nancy of Elkton Md., and Charles Mitchell of Lincoln; six grand-children, Ashley Metz, Morgan Sizer, Hallie Sizer, Sean Metz, G.J. Hall II, and Thomas Hall; and her mother-in-law, Marian Phillips. A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2009, in the Chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 East Market Street, Georgetown, where friends may call after 6 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the charity of one's choice.
