Judith Emily Barnes, affectionately known as “Judy”, was born Judith Dudley and raised in upstate New York.
She was married to her predeceased husband, Maurice L. Barnes for 69 of her almost 89 years. Together they raised ten children; Amy Dupont, Patti Wronski, Connie Arendsten, Jerry Barnes, Tim Barnes, Angie Messinger, Pam Sheldon, Wendy Haney, Barbara Sinclair And Tina Decleene, have 22 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Along with her extensive family she leaves behind a brother, John (Freddie) Dudley, a niece Debbie Cappola and many friends in her greater community.
She spent her entire life as a mother and homemaker. The most important in Judy’s life was her family, friends, the beach, long car rides, babies and baking sweets. Everyone who knew her will miss her infectious laugh and sense of humor.
Judy died peacefully in the early morning hours of July 10, 2025, just shy of her 89th birthday. Memorial services will be held at Holy Cross Church in Dover, Delaware on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 12:00 noon.
