MILFORD - Juanita passed away peacefully on Dec. 23, 2015 at the Weston Senior Living Center at Highfield (formerly the Masonic Home of Delaware), her residence for the past nine years. She was born in Baltimore, Md. to the late Paul Clinton and Elsie Mae Clark, and raised in Wilmington, Del. with her five siblings. She, along with her sister, Inez Swarter, and childhood friends sang together as the "Clark Sisters". Juanita, known for her famous fudge, was a homemaker, accomplished cook, seamstress, and active member of the Milford Senior Center and Christ Episcopal Church in Milford until her move to Wilmington in 2006. Juanita, or "Aunt Neets" as she was affectionately referred to by her nieces and nephews, was devoted to her children, grandchildren, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, David John Conly; her siblings Garland C. Clark and Elizabeth M. Zakrzewski; and her grandson, John Francis Cassidy IV. Juanita is survived by her children, Joy Ann Schirmer and David John Conly, III (Jane); her siblings Inez Swarter, William E. Clark, and Shirley Roberts; her grandchildren, Julie Cassidy, Jacquelynn Welch (Robert), John David Cassidy (Lynda), Janelle Cassidy, and Brian David Conly (Erika); nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Sincere appreciation and thanks are extended to the staff of the Weston Senior Living Center for their years of compassionate and loving care to our mother and grandmother. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, Del. 19808; where the service will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park.
