DOVER - Joyce R. Oliphant was called home Sunday, May 1, 2022, at Silverlake Nursing Home.
Mrs. Oliphant was born May 11, 1933, in Rising Sun, Delaware to the late Henry Rhodes and Elizabeth Grace Rhodes.
She worked for Del Trust as a bank teller for 44 years, retiring in 1995. Mrs. Oliphant enjoyed doing crafts, flower arrangement, crocheting, but especially spending time with her family. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Dover.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Oliphant.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Jean Antal and her husband Raymond of Dover; brother, William Rhodes and his wife Sandy of Camden; sister, Carolyn Rhodes of Dover; grandchildren, Stephanie Black, Heather Parkhurst all of Dover; great grandchildren, Kalib Parkhurst, Edyn Poole, Sydnie Focht and Troy Focht all of Dover; great great grandchild, Jasmine Elizabeth Rose of Dover. In addition she is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special nephew, John Rhodes and his wife Alisa; a special friend, L'Rin George.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, May 9, 2022, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover, Del. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 209 S. State Street, Dover, DE 19901.
