SELBYVILLE - Josephine White, 64, of Selbyville, departed this life on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Berlin Nursing Home. Born in Bishopville, Md., she was the daughter of the late Harry Felton and Alice White. She attended Calvary Pentecostal Church in Bishopville. "Monk," as she was affectionately known, worked and retired from Showell Farms, Inc. (now Perdue). She also worked at Barefoot Beachcomber Motel and Georgia Belle Motel, both in Ocean City, Md. She will be lovingly remembered by, one daughter, Avonda "Chop" (Anthony) Rounds of Easton, Md.; one son, Cornelius "Pikey" (significant other, Alexis) Felton of Frankford; five sisters, Shirley (significant other, Johnny) Felton of Dagsboro, Ruby (Eddie) Blockson of Seaford, Helen Belote of Vineland, N.J., Lillian (Joe) Tingle of Dagsboro, and Chyvonne (Keith) Bailey of Salisbury, Md.; one stepsister, Valerie Reed of Berlin, Md.; four grandchildren, Marcus Felton, Avonshae Rounds, Ashley Boyer, and Cornelius Felton, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Journee Boyer and Malcolm Burton; a very special and dear companion, Henry Purnell of Millsboro; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son, two sisters, two brothers, one favorite aunt, and two brothers-in-law. Ms. White will lie in repose 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, October 4, 2014, at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 13325 Worcester Highway, Bishopville. The funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. A ministry of comfort and dignity is being provided by Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home, P.A. in Salisbury.
