Joseph 'Joe' William LePore Jr. MARYDEL, Md. - Joseph "Joe" William LePore Jr., 67, of Marydel, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, at home. He was born Sept. 11 , 1942, in Ridgely, to the late Joseph W. and Pearl E. Cox LePore Sr. Joseph was a lifetime resident of Marydel. Mr. LePore worked for Saulsbury Brothers until retiring in 2005. Mr. LePore had an avid love for music. He played and was lead singer with the local band "Pony Express" for a number of years. He was well known for his Elvis impersonation. Since then he has enjoyed playing his guitar with family members and friends in his brother-in-law's garage. Joseph was a 50 year, lifetime member of Marydel Vol. Fire Dept. Station 56, were he drove truck #4. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his three sons, John LePore and wife Vicki and Joseph LePore both of Henderson, and William LePore of Marydel; one daughter, Deborah Hutson and husband William of Henderson; three granddaughters, Anna Marie Hutson, Krystle Poppiti, and Samantha Poppiti all of Henderson; three great-grandsons, Hunter Hurd, Wyatt Hurd and Paul Joseph Whitlock, Jr. all of Henderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Patricia A. Miller LePore; one son, Michael LePore; one daughter, Sarah; and one brother, John M. LePore. Services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 10, at the Marydel Vol. Fire Co., Marydel, where a visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment will be in Greensboro Cemetery, Greensboro.
