MILLSBORO - John Wayne Showell, 51, of Millsboro, died Sunday, June 12, 2011, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Charles E. Showell and Louise McGregory Showell. He was a member of Refuge Temple Revival Center in Seaford where he served as a Deacon and member of the Men's, Culinary, and Finance Ministry. Mr. Showell was employed as a truck driver by Mountaire Farms of Delaware. Loving memories will be cherished by: his wife, Denise Showell of Millsboro; one son, John Alex Showell of Millsboro; three daughters, Sharroz Showell of Dagsboro, Melony and Tyshanae Showell, both of Millsboro; two brothers, Walter (Geneva) Showell of Selbyville and Marshall (Angela) Showell of Baltimore; two sisters, Patricia (Roy) Pitts of Glen Burnie and Joyce (Sylvester) Savage of Greenville, N.C.; a father-in-law, Alfred Bumpass of San Francisco; a mother-in-law, Dorene Bumpass of Seaford; three grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, in-laws, and friends. He will lie in repose on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m., at the Refuge Temple Revival Center in Seaford. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Pastor Leon Williams will be officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Georgetown.
