LINCOLN - John W. Walls, of Lincoln, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at home surrounded by his family. John was born in Milford, Del., the son of the late John W. "Dick" Walls and Bessie (Jones) Walls. John was the owner and operator of Walls Service Center on N.E. Front Street in Milford. He was a member of the Milford Moose Lodge and a licensed Boat Captain. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and tinkering in his garage as well as working in his garden. John enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, especially teaching them to shoot guns. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon Nicole Smith in 2011. He is survived by his wife of 32 years Donna; a son, Colin Walls and his wife Jennifer of Milford; two daughters, Darlene Workman and her husband Raymond of Lincoln and Debbie Bell, of Athens, Ga.; a sister, Beth Schulze and her husband Buell, of Harrington; 9 grandchildren, Colin, Jonathan, Nicolas, Amy, Josh, Courtney, Dustin, Trent and Bryce; and 2 great-grandchildren, Hunter and Aiden. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 30, 2012 at the Avenue United Methodist Church, 20 N. Church Street, Milford where friends may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Lincoln, Del. The family suggests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Arr. by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford, DE.
