LAUREL - John Raymond Crist, of Laurel, died Jan. 21, 2012, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. He was 61. John was born in Oakland, Calif., to the late Raymond F. Crist III and Betty Jane Palmer. He graduated from Dover High School class of 1968. He then obtained his bachelor's degree from Delaware State University in 1974. John loved to travel and through the years traveled to many places within the United States. Most recently he resided in Laurel with his extended family; Ms. Olivia Hall and his close friend Connie Cooper. He is survived by his brother, Thomas Crist and wife Judy of Harrington and their children, Kristin Dixon her husband Michael, Kasey Lambertson and her husband Nicholas, all of Dover, and Katelyn Crist and her fiancé Jesse Leeuwen of Magnolia; brother, Steve Crist of Wilmington and his children, Heather Crist, Trevor Crist, and Adam Crist; sister, Victoria Hall of Dover and her children, Chad Hall and Ryan Hall. A memorial will be 1 p.m., Feb. 4, 2012, at Agape Temple Ministries, 40 Schulve Rd., Greenwood. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Agape Temple Ministries or Fellowship Health Resources, 400 Delaware Ave., Millsboro DE 19966.
