John R. Dick Jr., 85

MILLSBORO - John R. Dick Jr. (Jack), soldier, student mechanic, engineer, succumbed to lung cancer at the age of 85. His wife of 58 years, Dorothy E. Dick survives him along with four children, Allee W. Dick, John R. Dick III, Holly S. Ellis, Leslie A. "Lad" Dick; five grandchildren, Joshua, Justin, Kristen, Brandon, and Kaylynn. He is also survived by his beloved canine friend, "Cocoa" A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday at All Saints Cemetery, near Harbeson. The Most Rev. John W. Gains will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Department of Mechanical Engineering University of Delaware, 130 Academy St. Newark, DE 19716 or the Boys Scouts of America 1325 West Walnut Hill Lane P.O. Box 152079 Irving Texas, 75015-2079. Arrangements by Watson Funeral Home 211 S. Washington St. Millsboro.
