OCEAN VIEW, Del. - John R. Betters, Jr., passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011, at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2012, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, DE. A visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Rd., Ocean View, DE. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Dagsboro, DE. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in John's name to the Tunnell Cancer Center, 18941 John J.
