John 'Jay' Phillip Morgan Sr., 59 QUEEN ANNE, Md. - John "Jay" P. Morgan Sr., died Sunday, March 21, 2010, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 59. Born in Easton, Md., Jay was the son of Marion "Monk" E. Morgan of Queen Anne and the late Dorothea Ann Turner Morgan. He was a 1968 graduate of Queen Anne High School in Centreville, Md. Jay had spent 23 years with the Lebanon/Royster Clark Fertilizer Company in Denton, Md. as the plant manager. For the past five years, he had been the plant manager for the Willard Agra Service in Greenwood. He had served in the MD National Guard and was a past-member of the QA-Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Company. He was also a member of the Woodland Ferry Beagle Club and the Easton Moose Lodge 1520. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Marian Dale Bain and Deborah A. Bradley. In addition to his father, Jay is survived by his wife, Pamela L. Morgan of Queen Anne, Md.; two sons, John P. "J.P." Morgan Jr. of Easton, Md. and Christopher D. Morgan of Queen Anne, Md.; four step-daughters, Michelle Haddaway of Chester, Md., Kristin Geib of Cordova, Md., Holly Geib of Cordova, Md., and Taylor Geib of Cordova, Md.; and two step-grandchildren, Taylor Stacey and Alexis Brooks. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 25, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second St., Denton, Md., where friends may visit with the family for two hours before the service from 9 until 11 a.m. The interment will be in the Greenmount Cemetery, Hillsboro, Md. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests sending memorial donations to the Hospice of Queen Anne's, 255 Comet Drive, Centreville, MD 21617; or to the Q.A.-Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Co., P.O. Box 226, Queen Anne, MD 21657.
