John M. Spillane

DOVER - John M. Spillane passed away, Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford.
John was born Aug. 12, 1965, in Dover to John P. Spillane and Carol A. Abbott Spillane.
He worked as a Master Commercial Glazer for 30 years, and most recently for Walker & Laberg in Delmar. John enjoyed riding dirt bikes, animals and spending time with his children and nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie; and his sister, Diane Spillane.
He is survived by his parents, John and Carol Spillane of Dover; children, Cynthia Spillane of Nashville, Tenn., Rebecca Spillane of Philadelphia, Pa., and Kyle Spillane of Harrington; a sister, Joan Spillane; and a brother, James Spillane (Patty) both of Dover. Also surviving are his grandson, Samuel H. Gibbs; his niece and nephews, Christopher, Maria and James; his loving companion, Tammy Lavender Gardner and her nephew, Corey Lavender, who was a son to John.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 11, 2017, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover. Friends may call one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
