John J. Hill, 60 MILTON - John J. Hill, age 60, of Milton, passed away Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, at his cousins home in Georgetown, following an extended illness. In 1941, John's family moved to Milton from Somerset, Ky., and he was born 8 years later in Milford to Irene (Bullock) Hill, of Milton and the late William Orville Hill. He worked for Clyde Betts and Son for 17 years and in 1987 went to work for M & T Bank in Millsboro where he worked in the collections department until he retired, due to his health, in 2008. John enjoyed H.A.M. radio and was very proficient in Morse Code. In addition to his mother, John is survived by a sister, Patricia F. Hill of Milton; and a host of cousins and extended family. A funeral service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 12, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal Street, Milton, where friends may call after noon. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milton.
