BRIDGEPORT, N.J. - John Francis Hall, age 53, of Bridgeport, N.J., passed away peacefully on September 6, 2014 in Woodbury, New Jersey. John was the son of Mary Hall, her sweet soul departed. John was born in Dover, Delaware and grew up in Kent County, Delaware. He moved to New Jersey while employed as a Chief Engineer on a tug boat. Prior to that, John worked as a tree trimmer and on fishing boats. John loved his family dearly. In addition to John's mother, he was predeceased by his best friend and sister, Barbara Hall Pearson; and sister, Mary Hall. He leaves to cherish his memory his life-long companion, Miriam Mattson; his sister, Patricia Hall, Clayton, Del.; his sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and John Griffin, Clayton, Del.; his brother and sister-in-law, Philip and Roseanne Hall, Roseburg, Oregon; his brother, William Hall, Louisiana; four nieces, five nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews. John was a donor to the Anatomy Gifts Registry, Hanover, Maryland. Services will be private.
