Joe Michael Downs Sr.

CAMDEN-WYOMING - Joe Michael Downs, Sr., of Camden-Wyoming, passed away Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010. He was 45. He was born on Sept. 22, 1964, in Penns Grove, N.J., son of the late Thomas and Theresa (MacDonald) Downs. Joe was self employed, working in Heating and Air Conditioning, and had served on the HVAC state licensing board. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, motorcycling, boating and spending time with family and friends. He was a light hearted fellow who loved music, and loved to make people laugh. Joe is survived by his wife of 24 years, Tonya (Walters) Downs; three children, Rena Downs, Theresa Downs and Joseph Downs, Jr. all of Camden-Wyoming; five brothers, Thomas Downs and his wife Loretta of Pemberton, N.J., Billy 'Taco' Downs and his wife Wanda, of Magnolia, Bobby Downs and his wife Merrie of Mt. Holly, N.J., Michael Foreman and his wife Marina of Alabama and Johnny Foreman and his wife Kristy of Mississippi; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many, many, friends. Memorial service will be 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather two hours earlier. Burial will be private.
