Joanne "Judy" (Powell) Killen of Camden passed away on June 2, 2024 at home. Judy was born in Rising Sun, DE on June 12, 1934 the daughter of the late Reba (Williams) and William Purnell Powell.
Judy was an office manager for Richard Y. Johnson and Son General Contractors, retiring after over 27 years of service. She was a member of Whatcoat United Methodist Church. Judy enjoyed being outdoors, entertaining, making her own flower arrangements, and decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas. What gave Judy the most joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her husband of 69 years Lloyd V. Killen, Jr.; four children: Terry Fisher (Mike) of Dover, Janice Boudreau (Lee) of Atlanta, GA, L.V. Killen (Wendy) of Camden and Glenn Killen (Cindy) of Magnolia; her sister Eppie Haines of Harrington; eight grandchildren: Ryan (Amanda), Jamie (Nicole), Todd (Ariel), Christy (Alex), Ashley (Justin), Chad, Lee (Shelby) and Allyson (Zach); and 10 great grandchildren. She was happy to know that two more great grand babies are on their way. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her sister Donna Weingard.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the Care team: Kim, Tina, Jackie, Deborah and Gladys and to the staff of Delaware Hospice.
