Joanne C. Collins

Kennedyville, Md. - Joanne C. Collins passed away on Oct. 16, 2017 in Shore Medical Center at Chestertown.
Mrs. Collins was born on Oct. 26, 1953, daughter of Joan Owens Wallace and the late James Wallace, Jr. She was raised in Worton where she was a 1971 graduate of Chestertown High School. In 1983 she married and began her career with the USDA in Dover, retiring in 2017 after more than 30 years of service. Joanne was a member of Worton United Methodist Church and their choir.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Charles E. 'Chuck' Collins; her mother, Joan Owens Wallace of Worton, Md.; children, Amanda Clark (Chad) of Still Pond and Thomas Collins of Kennedyville; grandson, Creek Arrabal-Collins of Chestertown; brothers, Jim Wallace (Kathy) of Chestertown and Jeff Wallace of Worton; brother in law, Curt Collins of Worton; and nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, Md., where funeral service will be held on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Still Pond Cemetery.
