MAGNOLIA - Joan Isabelle Tudor, age 70, of Magnolia, Delaware died September 4, 2014. Born and raised in Philadelphia to loving parents, the late Walter C. and Isabelle Y. Tudor. Joan was the beloved sister of the late Marianne Tudor George and mother of Ronald A. Dolt (Patricia) of Colorado, Daniel T. Dolt (Barbara) of Magnolia, Delaware. She was a devoted grandmother to Laura, Elizabeth, Shannon, Melissa and Noah and great grandmother to Isabella and Michael. Joan was also the treasured aunt of Raymond, Bryan and Keith George and their families. Joan was a Past Worthy Matron in The Order of Eastern Star; Logan Chapter, member of the Episcopal Church and former long-time employee of Exide Corporation, Philadelphia. Joan had a superb sense of humor, love of animals; especially treasured pets Mimi, Rosie, Gracie, Katie and Patsy and an eternal affection for Margate, N.J. Joan's legacy will live on, as she will forever be remembered as 'holding court'; telling stories, and sharing life lessons with her family. Joan found tremendous joy in her role as Grammy Joan and adored feeding the chickens with her grandchildren in the yard. A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 11, 2014 at All Saints Episcopal Church, 9601 Frankford Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19114. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to the Kent County SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934 or Shiners Hospital for Children ((800) 241-4438).
