CAROLINA BEACH, N.C. - Jill Marie Nacrelli, of Carolina Beach, passed away with her mother by her side on Sunday, July 12, 2009. She was 33. Jill was born on Feb. 25, 1976, in Dover, Del., the daughter of Deanne and Christopher Nacrelli III. She graduated from Dover High School in 1994 and the Johnson and Wales Culinary Institute in Charlestown, S.C. She also served in the U.S. Coast Guard. Jill loved gardening, cooking, the beach, and her dog, Bessie. Ms. Nacrelli is survived by her mother, Deanne Nacrelli of Carolina Beach; her father, Dr. Christopher Nacrelli and his wife Cathy of Kenton, Del.; her sister, Lora Nacrelli of Dover; her brother, Christopher Nacrelli IV and his wife Michelle of Smyrna; her stepsister, Kristen McGinnis; and stepbrother, Michael Hunt. Also left to mourn Jill are her nieces and nephew, Reese, Regan, Cara, and Christopher Nacrelli V; and her niece and best friend, Renee Nacrelli. Also, her aunts and uncles, Ginger Nacrelli, Robert Nacrelli, Joan and Joe Zola, and Bobbi and William Nicholas, along with a host of cousins survive her. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Christopher and Frances Nacrelli, Charles and Sophia Knafles and her beloved aunt, Lara Kundrat. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 26, at the Wild Quail Golf and Country Club, Wyoming, Del. Pastor Scott McClymont will officiate. Instead of flowers, the family asks that contributions in Jill's name be made to: The Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401 (www.hospiceandlifecarecenter.org) or the American Cancer Society.
