Smith, 90 DOVER - Jewell "Judy" T. Smith of Dover passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at home. She was 90. Mrs. Smith was born November 27, 1923 in Franklin County, Illinois to the late Benjiman F. Tackett and Anna Lee Rayburn Tackett. She taught China Painting from 1958 till 2000, and would do demonstrations at the Agricultural Museum, Old Dover Days and at Apple Scrapple Festival. Mrs. Smith also helped in the family's Aamco Transmission Business. She was a member of the Soroptimist Association, Ki-Wives, Mid-Atlantic Porcelain Art Teachers Association, and the International Porcelain Art Teachers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Smith, Jr. in 1999. She is survived by her son, Anthony Smith and his wife Nancy of Norfolk, Va.; daughters, Susan Novellino of Dover, Linda Chambers and her husband Lane of Cumming, Ga.; grandchildren, Christina Bactat, Alicia Smith, Anthony Smith, Katie Chambers, Maggie Chambers, Aimee Carter and James Novellino; great grandchildren, Eduardo Bactat, Joshua Smith, Cole and Lille Carter. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Christ Episcopal Church, 501 S. State Street, Dover, DE 19901. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
