Jesse J. Morengo, 93
MILFORD - Jesse J. Morengo of Milford, formally of Lewes and Claymont made his journey into God's Kingdom on March 4, 2021.
Jess was born in Linwood Pennsylvania on September 6, 1927. He was a World War II veteran, who served in the U.S. Navy (Seabees).
He married his sweetheart, Anna Mae (Hendricks) Morengo in New York City on December 16, 1950. They moved back to the First State in 1951 and made Claymont their home. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in any way he could. He especially treasured playing baseball and horseshoes with the kids and people in the neighborhood. They would come knocking on the door, Mr. Morengo you want to play ball with us. Jess will be sorely missed by all those who loved him.
He was predeceased by his daughter Susan and Wife, Anna Mae.
Jess is survived by two sons, Gary (Karen) of Dover and Jess (Anita) of Milford; daughter, Shirley (Edward) of Greenbackville, Va.; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donation can be made to: Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
Arrangements in the care of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford.
