Jess Czetli Sr.

Jess Czetli Sr., 91 CLAYTON - Jess Czetli Sr., 91, formerly of Parkesburg, Pa., passed away at his home in Clayton, on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010. He was the widower of the late Phyllis I. Czetli, who died in 2006. Born in Akron, Ohio, he was the son of the late Steven and Julia Denke Czetli. From 1943 to 1946, Jess served honorably with the Merchant Marines during World War II. He was a graduate of the Hower Vocational School in Akron, Ohio, and was the former owner and operator of Czetli and Sons Machine Shop in Parkesburg, retiring in 1983. He is survived by three children, Jess Czetli Jr. of Lancaster, Pa., Steven Czetli of Clayton, and David Czetli of Smyrna; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ernest Czetli of Grand Rapids, Mich. He was predeceased by one brother and two sisters. The Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 11, at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, Pa., followed by interment in the Glen Run Cemetery of Atglen. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing, which will be held from 10 until 11 a.m. Online condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com.
