HARTLY - Jerry Wesley McGehee, 70, of Hartly, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was born on Sept. 14, 1941, in Richmond, Va., to the late Herbert and Irene Harlow McGehee. He was a member of the Church of Christ where he was a devoted christian. He worked at Chrysler in Newark for 30 years. He is a USAF veteran. He was a devoted and loving Dad and PaPa to his grand daughters. He was a caring thoughtful person who would give you the shirt off his back. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Wesley McGehee in 1989. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Violet Long McGehee of Hartly; daughter and her husband, Tammy and Fred McGehee Garron, Jr. of Hartly, and their children Morgan and Courtney; and daughter, Lisa McGehee of Dover, and her daughter Danielle; and his dogs, Chloe and Cuddles. Private Graveside services will be Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, at the Sharon Hill Memorial Park Dover.
