Jehu 'Jay' Layton, 73 DAGSBORO - Jehu "Jay" Layton, age 73, of Dagsboro, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at the Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. He was born Sept. 14, 1936, in Frankford to the late Gertrude D. Layton and Archie Layton. Jay owned and operated Jay's Market in Frankford for 34 years. After retirement he enjoyed spending time with family, making trips to Pennsylvania for horse shows, and riding around the farm on his golf cart. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Gladys M. Layton; his son, Jerry and his wife Joyce; two grandchildren, Jessica and Julie; as well a host of family and close friends including, Pat Hummer of Frankford, Glenda Murray of Dagsboro, and Brian and Debbie Tingle of Dagsboro. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Tunnell Cancer Center, 18947 John J. Williams Hwy., Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
