MILLINGTON - Jeanne P. Davis died on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Memorial Hospital at Easton. Mrs. Davis was born in Bridgeton, N.J., the daughter of the late Harry and Verna Denges Smith. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and for many years worked as an Emergency room registrar at the Kent & Queen Anne's Hospital. She was an active member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Millington, Md. A member of the Sudlersville Volunteer Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary, she was also Past President of the Millington Volunteer Fire Companies Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Massey Homemakers Club. Mrs. Jeanne loved to read especially romance novels. She enjoyed playing cards and games. She enjoyed doing plastic canvas and needlepoint. She loved to travel, cook and bake, but her biggest love of all was her family. In addition to her parents Mrs. Davis is predeceased by her husband Arthur Davis; and two brothers, John and Frederick Smith. She is survived by five sons, Arthur H. Davis of Millington, Md, John F. Davis of Laurel, Md., LeRoy G. Davis of Clayton, Del., Charles A. Davis of Smyrna, Del., and C. Brad Davis of Ellicott City, Md.; two daughters, Janice Davis of Millington, Md. and Sharon Dempsey of Worton, Md.; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday May 19, 2013 at 1 p.m. in the Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 370 W. Cypress St., Millington, MD. Friends and family may call on Saturday evening May 18, 2013 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the services in Asbury Cemetery, Millington, Md.
