Jeanette Matilda Eveland, 84

TEMPLEVILLE, Md. - Jeanette Matilda Eveland, of Templeville, formerly of Hillsboro, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at home. She was 84. She was born July 3, 1924, in Patterson, N.J., to the late Alfred and Mary Ott Reihl. Mrs. Eveland was a graduate of Ridgely High School and continued on to receive her registered nursing degree from the Easton School of Nursing. She was a self-employed registered nurse in the community throughout her career. She was a member of the Temple Grange 66, the Templeville Home Makers Club and the Templeville Community Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Edward Eveland. She is survived by one daughter, Helen Knotts and husband Bill of Templeville; one son, Charles Edward Eveland of Greensburg, Ky.; one brother, Garrett Reihl of Hutchinson, Kan.; one sister, Betty Naylor of Frederick; two grandchildren Shawn and Ethan Knotts; and one great-grandson, Daniel Knotts. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, in Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W Sunset Ave., Greensboro, where friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Templeville Cemetery.
