DOVER - Jeane A. Vespo passed away, Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. Jeane was born June 10, 1933 in East Hampton, Massachusetts to the late Stanley and Violet Adamkowski. At the age of eight, the family moved to Brooklyn, where she met and later married her loving husband, Joseph. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with family and friends and her husband Joe. Jeane enjoyed gardening, vacationing with family and friends and she was an extremely giving person always thinking of others. After Joe's time in the service, they moved to Long Island and spent years in Phoenix, Arizona, where they still have close friends. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Joseph J. Vespo of Dover; sons, Joseph J. Vespo and his wife Jo-Ellen of Syracuse, NY and Thomas Vespo and his wife Deborah of Bethpage, NY; and grandchildren, Kimberly and Ryan Vespo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9AM, Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover. Friends may call from 6-8, Monday evening at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Interment will be in St. Charles & Resurrection Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Office of Development, Shriners Hospitals for Children® 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
