On May 18th, 2026, Jean Adele Sawyer went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter and son in law in Tarpon Springs, Florida.
Born on July 23, 1930, Jean was the daughter of Marion and Charles Carter of Ocean City, New Jersey. She married Lloyd Judson Sawyer in February of 1951, who preceded her in death in 2004. She is survived by her daughters Cynthia Hartman, Cecilia Mendonis, Cassandra Parker, and Catrina Hartz, and by grandchildren Christopher Cinelli, Jennifer Miller, Brandon Parker, Victoria Reisinger, Travis Parker, Pantelis Mendonis, and Macey Scott.
Her celebration of life service will be held at St John's Lutheran Church, 113 Lotus Street in Dover, Delaware, on June 5th at 12 pm.
