TOWNSEND - Jason Scott Campbell passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 17, 2016. Jason was born on January 9, 1990 at Christiana Hospital in Newark. He was predeceased by his Pop-Pop, Joel Ridley, who was his mentor and buddy; his Mom-Mom, Esther Ridley who he loved dearly; grandfather, James Campbell; grandmother, Louise Campbell; and his cousin, Greg Dixon. Jason leaves behind his parents, Beth and Bruce Campbell; brother, Brian Campbell; sister-in-law, Lauren Campbell; niece, Juniper Campbell; aunt, Pam and uncle Edward Marecki; cousin, Laura Marecki; aunt, Joan and uncle, Joe Hawkins; uncle, Scott and aunt, Eileen Campbell; aunt, Brenda and uncle, Michael Bitondo; cousins, Tracy Lusier, Diana D'Souza, Christopher Campbell, Lauren Greer, Heather Scully, Jennifer Rodriguez, Emily Bitondo, and Jessica Bitondo; special great aunt, Joan and uncle, Merle; and many dear cousins, great aunts and uncles, and friends. As a child and through his youth Jason attended Bethesda United Methodist Church in Middletown where he enjoyed many close relationships, fall hayrides and bonfires at the Lovett farm, and many activities. He participated in soccer in his younger years and played drums in the band in Middle School. Jason was a member of Blackbird 4-H club and enjoyed activities with friends in the club and also participating in the State Fair. Mostly Jason liked to play with his friends in the neighborhood. Jason graduated from Middletown High School in 2008. He received his HVAC certificate from Delaware Technical and Community College. He has worked for a plumbing company, in warehouses and production companies over the past few years. Jason was very devoted to his Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop. All his grandparents had to do was call and he was there to put up awnings and screens, clean windows, rake leaves, or help his grandfather with any other projects. Jason was very loved and will be so missed by his family. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Rd. (Rt. 10), where a visitation will start at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park in Dover. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
