DOVER - Janis W. Beiser passed peacefully in her home, after a courageous battle with cancer, with her husband by her side, on Thursday, July 10, 2014. Born in Seaford on May 28, 1931 to the late Norman M. and Generva E. West. Janis married Jack Beiser, the love of her life on Aug. 14, 1951. Their love for each other is a true example of loving unconditionally, for better or worse as they recited their vowels on their wedding day. Janis was a kind, gentle, loving, and very courageous woman who touched many lives and was loved by everyone for her thoughtfulness. She fought her battle with dignity and grace for 29 years. She loved cooking, baking, animals, reading, and traveling to Mexico. Most importantly, she loved her family. She was an angel put on earth to show people how to love others and will be dearly missed by all. Janis is survived by her husband of 62 years, John T. Beiser, better known as Jack; a sister, Jackie West, of Felton; four daughters, Terry Bahoshy and husband, Bobby Bahoshy, of Seal Beach, Calif., C. Lynn Kriss and her husband, Bill Kriss, of Dover, Holly Hill, of Coral Springs, Fla., and Jackie Bourassa and her husband, Chris Bourassa, of Leesburg, Va.; 11 grandchildren, Jen Harman, Janica Kriss Cimo, Nick Kriss, Sean Bahoshy, Ryan Bahoshy, Erin Bahoshy Brown, Nicole Hill Bailey, Josh Hill, Brock Bourassa, Brianna Bourassa, and Abbie Bourassa; five great-grandchildren, Catherine Harman, Brayden Laytham, Lili Bourassa, Brooklyn Brown, Camryn Bailey, and Desmond Bahoshy. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at noon on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St. Dover, De. Private Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover. In lieu of flowers, contributions to a favorite charity in her honor is suggested. Life's End Services are by Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director, Inc. where condolences may be made via www.ambruso.com
