DELMAR - Janis Elizabeth Huey-Dulis, 32, of Delmar, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at her home in Delmar. She was born on Jan. 11, 1979, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., the daughter of Georgia M. Salazar of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and Rennard W. Huey and his wife Patricia of Shavertown, Pa. Janis grew up in the Rehoboth Beach area and attended Rehoboth Elementary School, Lewes Middle and Cape Henlopen High School. She loved her work in food service and previously had worked at the Crystal Restaurant, Little Greek Boys, K-Mart, all in Rehoboth and Denny's in Salisbury. She is remembered as a good-hearted woman who would do almost anything for a friend in need. She was involved with Friends of the Delmar Public Library and unselfishly volunteered at Delmar Elementary. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes. Janis liked to travel and cherished memories made with her children and family. In addition to her parents, Janis is survived by her five children, Dannielle Huey, John Dulis, George Dulis, Madison Dulis and Michael Dulis; a longtime companion, Leonard Sargent and his children, Tyler and Taylor, whom she was like a mother to; two brothers, Rennard E. Huey and his wife, Tracy and her twin brother, Quinten W. Huey; a great-grandmother, Dolores Ungureit; two nephews, Quinten Huey II and Renny Huey, III; and step-grandparents, Victoria Kelly and Paul Kelly. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Short Funeral Home, 13 East Grove Street in Delmar. A funeral service will begin at 6:00 p.m. Father Todd Wm. Kissam will officiate. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.shortfh.com.
