Janet Maull Lawton

DOVER - Janet Maull Lawton passed away peacefully, Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Cadia Capitol Nursing Home in Dover. Janet was born September 16, 1936 in Milford to the late Charles Clifford Lawton and Elizabeth Maull Lawton. They lived in Dover their entire life, where her father owned and operated a Texaco Service Station. She graduated from Dover High School, Wesley College, and Delaware State University. Janet worked her years and retired from the State of Delaware as also retired from the United States Air Force Reserves after 25 years. She loved traveling, reading, and history. Janet was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Janet is survived by her cousins, Doris Anne Wood Shane and her husband Win of Smyrna, Newlin E. Wood, Jr., and his wife Amy of Hockession, William Frederick Lawton of Harrington, Wayne Lawton and his wife Joan of Perry, GA, Kathleen Rohall and her husband William of North Wales, PA, Richard Farley and his wife Pat and Julie all of Milford. Funeral services will be held 2PM, Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Barratt's Chapel, 6486 Bay Road, Frederica. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in the Chapel Cemetery. Many thanks and appreciation to Cadia Capitol for their excellent care and treatment for her last years. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com
