Janet M. Meekins

SMRYNA - Janet M. Meekins passed away on Sun., Jun. 14, 2015 at home. Mrs. Meekins was born Mar. 18, 1933 in Dover, the daughter of the late George and Anna Rash. She was a homemaker who loved music, crocheting, dancing and singing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leroy W. Meekins. She is survived by her son, Thomas G. Alderson of Smyrna; three daughters, Jacque L. Fredricks and her husband John of Seaford, Cindy M. Petrovich of Dover, and Georgianna Luppino and her husband Nicholas of Camden; five step-children, Cookie, Buck, Roger, Charles and Leighann; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Abby. A viewing will be held on Mon., Jun. 22, 2015 at 12 p.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna. Funeral Services will begin 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Smyrna. Condolence letters may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com
