Jane B. Moore, 83 DOVER - Jane B. Moore, of Dover, died peacefully, Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, at Silver Lake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Dover, surrounded by her family. She was 83. Mrs. Moore was born June 10, 1926, in Mamaroneck, N.Y., to the late John Blair and Henrietta Coleman Blair. Mrs. Moore was a homemaker, loved spending time with her family and enjoyed nature. She was known for her great cooking, and assisted her late husband with his hot dog vending and catering businesses. Mrs. Moore's main concern throughout her lifetime was making sure her family's needs were fulfilled. She was a founding member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Youth Group, Port Chester, N.Y., and served for 25 years. She was recognized for her service to the church at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Manhattan. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, John J. Moore Sr. in 1997; brother, John; and sisters, Evelyn and Cathleen. She is survived by her son, John J. Moore of Greenwich, Conn.; daughters, Patricia Moore and her companion Lorraine Kearny of White Plains, N.Y., Sharon Velasquez and her husband Manny of Dover, Ellen Luongo and her husband Bruno of Danbury, Conn.; four grandchildren, Theresa Voss and her husband Henry, Anthony Diodato and his wife Tykisha, Natalie and Johnny Luongo; and six great-grandchildren, Devin Livingston, Heaven and Hope Voss, Angelo Cox-Diodato, Jayden Diodato, and Dana Luongo; sister, Helen Crew and husband Eddie; and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:15 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 28, in Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, 136 S. Regent St., Port Chester, N.Y. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Rye, N.Y.
