James W. Fransisco

DOVER - James W. Fransisco passed away Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. He was 92. James was born on Jan. 25, 1919, in Watkins Glen, N.Y., son of the late Glanden and Isabelle (Brown) Fransisco. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years. His hobbies included computers, auto mechanics and putting things together. James is survived by a step-daughter, Gail Strauch and her husband John of Kiawah Island, S.C.; sons, Jim Fransisco of Ocala, Fla., Glenn Fransisco of Felton, Paul Fransisco and his wife Patti of Camden; grandchildren, Ryan Fransisco and his wife Megan of Magnolia, and Matthew Fransisco of Felton; and a great-grandchild, Patrick Fransisco of Magnolia. A gathering of remembrance will be 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 27, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. A committal service will be 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Letters of condolence can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
