James Vincent 'Jim' Buley FELTON - James Vincent "Jim" Buley left this world on Monday, Dec. 1, 2009, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Jim was born to Joan Scott Buley and James Buley on Nov. 28, 1947, in Darby, Pa. He attended Blessed Virgin Mary School in Darby, Pa., and graduated from St. James Catholic High in Chester, Pa., in 1965. He was proud to serve in the U.S. Air Force in the U.S., Europe and Southeast Asia for the next 20 + years and then easily transitioned in to work as a civil servant for the Department of Justice until his second retirement in 2004. He was working for Dover Downs at the time he became ill where he made many friends and loved his work. He was fiercely patriotic, loved his country and served it with dignity for most of his life. He is predeceased by his mother and father; and the light of his life, his daughter, Tiffany; and his brother, John. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 16 years, Sharon; and his sisters, Joan, Patricia and Catherine; his brother, Daniel; stepdaughter, Marsha; stepson, Daniel; and many nephews and friends from Clinton, Md., and Felton. There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 10 a.m. at the Berry - Short Funeral Home, Main Street, Felton, with a committal with military honors at Delaware Veterans Cemetery in Millsboro at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, kindly make a donation to Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.
