James Timmons, 67 CLAYTON - James Timmons, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2010, in the Milford Hospice Center. He was 67. Mr. Timmons was born October 9, 1942 in Dover, the son of Florence Streets Timmons of Dover, and the late Earl E. Timmons. He worked as a custodian for General Motors in Wilmington, for several years before retirement. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Brown and Ralph Timmons; and three sisters, Mary Phyllis Timmons, Virginia Heverin Broomall and Sally Hewes. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Timothy Timmons and his wife, Janice of Dover and Daniel Timmons and his wife, Amber of Smyrna; five brothers, Earl Timmons and his wife, Pat of Dover, Tommy Timmons and his wife, Dawn of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Roland Timmons and his wife, Joyce of Smyrna, William Timmons and his wife, Diane of Clayton and Paul Timmons and his wife, Connie of Milton, Fla.; a sister, Betty Jolly and her husband, Fred of Smyrna; and a granddaughter, Danica Timmons. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday January 11, 2010, in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Townsend Cemetery, Townsend. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901. Arrangements are by Faries Funeral Directors and Crematorium Inc., 29 S. Main St., Smyrna. Condolence letters may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
