DOVER - James T. Fairbanks of Dover, passed away Tues., Nov. 9, 2010, at Heartland Hospice House, Wilmington. He was 66. James was born on April 17, 1944, in Columbus, Ohio. For most of his life he was a bill collector. He was a member of MENSA, and an Eagle Scout. His hobbies included treasure hunting and he was an avid fisherman. He is preceded in death by his father James E. Fairbanks. James is survived by his mother, Mary J. Fairbanks of Columbus, Ohio; former wife, Jeanne Fairbanks of Dover; daughter, Staci K. (Vince) Gomes of Dover; three grandchildren, Amber Dawn Lampkins, Autumn Lampkins and T. Daniel Lampkins all of Dover; two beloved dogs, Blizzard and Sundae; two brothers, Ronald (Karen) Fairbanks of Marathon, Fla., Terry (Georgie) Fairbanks of Las Vegas, Nev.; sister-in-law, Patty (John) Olienecka of Columbus, Ohio. A graveside service will be 2:30 p.m., Thurs., Nov. 11, 2010, at Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720-1633. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com
