James 'Bubbie' Samuel Greenage, 78 DOVER - James "Bubbie" Samuel Greenage was peacefully called home to the Lord, Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, surrounded by his wife and children in the house he built for his wife 52 years ago. He was 78. He was born June 30, 1931, near Kenton, to the late James L. Greenage and Helen Sammons Greenage. Mr. Greenage worked for the City Cab in Dover and was known as one the friendliest cab drivers in town. He worked for Sears for 16 years, left there to work for General Foods retiring after 26 years in 1994. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley Paxton Greenage; two daughters, Cynthia Novak and husband Gregory, and Judith Ridgeway and husband Robert; his son, James C. Greenage and wife Kathleen; his brother; five sisters; nine grandchildren, Jimi Ale, Katie Ale, Charlie Ritchie, James P. Greenage, Lisa Greenage, Robert B. Ridgeway, Kelly Munce, Jackie Munce, and Stephanie Munce; and nine great-grandchildren, Liam, Jareth, Jadis, Reese, Ben, Payton, Paxton, Hector, and Jasmyn. Funeral services and interment will be 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 4, at Delaware Veterans Memorial Park, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday evening at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
