James S. Donaway, 84 GEORGETOWN - James S. Donaway, age 84, lifelong resident of Georgetown, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, at Beebe Medical Center. James was born in Georgetown, son of the late James S. Sr., and Ruth (Bowers) Donaway. He was a Crain Operator for Arundel Concrete Products for 43 years and retired in 1987. James was an Army Veteran and member of Georgetown American Legion Sussex Post # 8. He enjoyed fishing, sports and any activities with his family. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a brother, John Donaway; and sister, Dorothy Wilson. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Almeda (Rusch) Donaway; a son, Dale Donaway and wife Cathy of Dover; brother, Rynear Donaway and wife Delores of Clayton; two grandchildren, Scott Donaway and Melissa Quick and husband Steve; and a great-grandson, Austin Quick. Services and burial will be private. Arrangements handled by Short Funeral Services, Georgetown.
