'Hump' Reed Jr., 54 GREENWOOD - James "Alan", "Hump" Reed Jr., of Greenwood, died Sunday, March 18, 2012, at his home. He was 54. Alan was born April 22, 1957, in Dover to James A. Reed Sr. and Doris Stevens Reed of Greenwood. He graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1975, he also attended Sussex Tech taking auto body classes. His love was working on vehicles and racing, with his father right there with him a lot of the time. He won many trophies drag racing. He also enjoyed going to the farm with his dogs, going fishing, and spending time with his nephews and nieces. Alan was a member of Lifeway Church of God in Bridgeville. Besides his parents, he was survived by two sisters, Janet and husband Bryan Hibbs Sr. of Denton, Md., and Jacquie Reed of Federalsburg, Md.; long time companion, Janice Wisseman of Federalsburg, Md.; two nieces and husbands, Brooke and David McMahan of Preston, Md., and Brittany and James McCraken of Denton, Md.; and a nephew and wife, Bryan and Jennifer Hibbs Jr. of Greenwood; and five great nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 23, 2012, at 6:30 p.m., at Lifeway Church of God, 7046 Seashore Highway, Bridgeville. Friends may call on the family from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Burial will be private. Donations may be made to Fleischauer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 502, Greenwood, DE 19950, to help defray funeral cost.
