DOVER - James P. Dotson USAF SMSgt, Retired passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014 in Kent General Hospital, Dover. James served in the US Air Force for 28 years and then worked for Batta Environment in Newark until he retired in 2004. He loved to travel, camp and golf where he created a very effective slice that astounded many. He thoroughly enjoyed his daily walks with their West Highland Terrier-Mia. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Cici. James is survived by his wife, Sonja Bernat-Dotson; brothers, Michael, Bill and Randy Dotson; sister, Francis Ann Armstrong; children, Amy Newton and Paul Dotson; Step Children, Steve, Paul and Chad Bernat; grandchildren: Kayla and Jake, Megan, Erin, Rachel, Rebekah, Stephen, Ian, Liam, Ella Felicity. His life will be celebrated with a service at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where family will receive friends one hour earlier.
