DOVER - James Medford "Jim Boy" Powell, of Dover, died on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at his home. He was 72. Mr. Powell was born on July 13, 1938, in Millington, Md. He was the son of the late James T. and Florence Wallace Powell. Mr. Powell worked for Delaware Correctional Facility in Smyrna, and then became a truck driver for Allen Foods. He was a member of the moose lodge in Harrington, and a charter member of Crumpton Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Powell enjoys fishing, people watching, dancing especially to Country music and visiting with his aunt Sue. He is survived by his daughters, Cathy Leager of Ellendale, Christina Powell of Chestertown, Md., and Melissa Morris of Dover; a step-son, Bobby Minnick of Sudlersville, Md.; a sister, Patsy Wilson of Sudlersville, Md.; a brother, Louis Powell of Millington, Md.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild Arrangements by: Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. 370 W.
