FELTON - Jimmy went to be with the Lord suddenly on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016. Born Dec. 7, 1982, Jimmy was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle and friend to hundreds of people. He had a deep passion for music and was one of the most talented drummers who had ever sat behind a set of drums. Anyone who had an opportunity to hear him play would agree. He was the drummer for several local bands which include, Semi-blind, Another Vicious Cycle, Seventh Seal, The Davis Holiday Band, Petting Hendrix and Ice Station Zero, to name a few. He worked as an independent contractor in the construction field. He was also a licensed bartender. In school Jimmy had achieved a presidential academic achievement award and had achieved the honor roll several times. He enjoyed spending quality time with his children and family, fishing, crabbing, riding on his motorcycle, going to rock concerts and moshing in a metal pit. He had the best personality ever and was extremely humorous. He was preceded in death by his older sister, Amber Nicole Myers (Gray); grandparents, Robert (Bob) and Ruth Martin, of Felton, Jack and Betty (Payne) Dorfe; uncles, Emory Gray, Robert E. Martin, Jr., and Michael Gray, all of Marion, Ohio; and grandfather, Lloyd Gray, of Tampa, Fla. He is survived by his children, Kayleigh and Kinsleigh Martin; as well as his loving parents, father, James Kenneth Martin, Sr. and Mary Martin, of Felton, mother, Donna Jean (Gray) Martin, of Marion, Ohio; sister, Andrea Danielle Martin-Ornstein and brother-in-law, Aaron Ornstein, of Baltimore, Md.; nephews, Lazarus James Adamopoulos, Gavin Carter King, of Baltimore, Md., Mikey Myers, Hunter Myers, and Dion Myers, all of Marion, Ohio; aunt, Linda Martin-Wagenhals, of Delmar; uncles, Dennis and Linda Gray, of Marion, Ohio, and Daniel Gray, of Marion, Ohio; many cousins, great-aunts, a great-uncle, and a great-niece and great-nephew. Friends and family may come to call for a time of visitation on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford. A memorial service will begin at 8 p.m. Donations for the family are being taken at www.Gofundme.com/jim-martins-funeral-campaign
