James 'Kimo' H. Ralph Jr., 39 TAMPA, Fla. - James "Kimo" H. Ralph Jr., 39, departed this life on May 31, 2010, at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Fla. Kimo was born on Aug. 4, 1970, at Dover AFB Hospital, Dover, Del. His nick name is Hawaiian for Jim and is the product of his parents having both lived in Hawaii. He had been formally trained as a chef and worked in the Tampa area for many years bringing the joy of good food to many people. After an injury kept him from working as a chef, he returned to school and studied computer repair and networking at Erwin Technical Center in Tampa. Kimo was to have graduated with an Associates Degree during his illness. He made the courageous decision to refuse further treatment and passed quietly with his family at his side. He is survived by his mother, Mary K. (Sam) Ralph and her life partner Leslie C. Wozniak of Berkeley, Calif.; his father, James H. Ralph and his wife Peggy J. O'Brien of Magnolia; sisters, Crystle M. Ralph and beloved pet Sailor of Tampa, Fla., Julieanne Cross and spouse Michael of Wilmington, Del.; grandparents, Barbara B. Feeney of Pasadena, Fla., William H. and Rose Mary R. Ralph of Wyoming, Del.; great-grandmother, Joanne Feeney of Riverview, Fla.; uncles and aunts, Laurie A. Feeney and spouse Johnny Brown of New Port Richey, Fla., Rob E. Feeney Jr. of Riverview, Fla., Pat T. Feeney of Atlanta, Ga., Shawn M. Feeney of Temple Terrace, Fla., Danny H. Feeney of Miami, Fla., Alex N. Mitich of Camden, Del., Mary F. O'Koren and spouse Tony of Burke, Va., Grace I. Van Drunen and spouse Thomas of Wyoming, Del. He also leaves many relatives throughout the state of Wyoming in Newcastle, Lander, Riverton and Casper. Interment will be private. Friends wishing to send condolences may do so to jimralph@comcast.net. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a small donation be made to the local ASPCA shelter in Kimo's name.
